Constructed in 1870, the Chubb family established and constructed Chubb Chapel which would become the center of the Chubb Town community. Over 150 years later, descendants of the Chubb family as well as friends from the community still regularly worship in the original building. As part of a National Trust for Historic Preservation grant for historic black churches, Pennant Construction Management assisted with the removal of the original bell and the reconstruction of the bell tower. The bell will be housed in a permanent housing for viewing and the church will continue well into its second century.
